UNVEILED: NEW ART FROM THE MIDDLE EAST in Saatchi Gallery

"Ghost" 2007 by Kader Attia

"Hidden Doll" 2008
"Hidden Face" 1995 by Halim Al-Karim

I went to Saatchi Gallery.
These works were quite impressive for me. I felt a strong impact on the first one and saw it from back first. When turning to the front, I could see that the substances were empty. I wonder what it means? While I dont know about a culture of middle east countries, I will not understand that implication actually. But, it reminded me of young ages especially our country because the young including me dont have particular religion recently. It means just a formal prayer. I thought the same thing had happened there, but I dont know. Overlapping between japan and them might be wrong. However, I felt like similar sense from the second one that was pictures which were covered by soft fabric. I cant explain well now. It is like a gray identity.
